It all started on a day like any other. Humanity remained ignorant to the signs of what was to come. The days were quickly becoming shorter and the nights began to occupy 20 hours of the day. Astronomers were baffled and others simply ignored the event and went on with their daily routines. It wasn't until the meteors and natural disasters began to tear down civilization city by city did it catch the attention of the ever busy humans. Could God be angry with them? Portals leading from the spirit world began to open up in all of the world's major countries. The United States, China, Japan, United Kingdom, and Russia were all subject to the appearance of these portals.

The most significant attacks were targeted towards the United States, however, as the attackers naturally wished to acquire the nuclear power to simply wipe out the other countries. These sinister spirits invading the Earth were imbued with powers that surpassed just about any man-made weapon and believed that their victory would be certain. They were wrong. With the dormant portals remaining open and the sudden sky-rocketing level of spiritual activity in the world, the ever-evolving minds of humanity opened up to the energy and humanity evolved into a species fully capable in spiritual arts.

Furthermore, a number of other species also entered through the portals, including Elves and Goetians. These new races served as a means of splitting the war effort and causing the battles to become scattered across the globe. All of these races fighting at once caused many casualties on every side. This led to the genetic engineering of many new races such as the Angels, Daemons, Androids, and more. However, they soon came to the realization that the war effort was pointless and that the only choice was to broker a peace treaty.

With the creation of a peace treaty, almost all of the races attended a peace summit. At this summit, they negotiated the terms of the treaty. A part of this treaty was the creation of a joint academy that would be deemed as the Soul Academy, as every race had a soul. This academy would be used as a means of honing the abilities of each and every race alongside each other in a peaceful environment. It would also serve as to teach the races about the world, history, and even in some cases the future. Soul Academy has stood for decades and continues to stand as the single greatest symbol of peace between the races to this day.
