Midnight. China. Tomb of the First Emperor of China.

The tomb of China's first Emperor, the only construct to survive the end of the once large nation. The numerous broken statues, the remnants of the terracotta army, lay in shambles. The large mausoleum that would house the body of the first emperor appeared to have been half blown off as a top portion of it was missing. In place of the once glamorous tomb was now a place littered with the defeated people. The dead filled the area and the stench of it reminded one man of home, oh how the spartan reveled in the smell of blood and death.

Bastian stood before the scene, watching as if waiting for some sign to move. In fact, he was truly recalling his home. It hurt him to find out that after his death, his entire race were destroyed by the same Athenian scum that they had once called allies in times of war. Nothing remained of his home now, they Athenian cowards saw to it that they burned every piece of the race from the world, and yet more than 1000s of years later a spartan still lived. Oh how the Moirae sisters played there games, weaving their threads of fate. By all rights, Bastian knew he should be in the embrace of Ares as him and his people were the chosen race of the greek god. But for some reason, Bastian lived on though in a body that was not his own. There had to be a purpose, one he could not fathom but he knew there had to be one. Being one to never question the Gods he simply let the thought slide and focused on his goal. In this tomb was the spirit of the old king, unable to rest in peace after his tomb was desecrated in such a manner. Bastian felt some mild manner of compassion for the fool as he found that the man lived near the same time as he did though Bastian was likely several decades the mans elder.

His large shield in hand he approached the mausoleum walking on and over the dead as if they were the ground itself. He wore only his typical battle attire of having his black armour that was fashioned in the method he had worn in the days of old. Many at the Syndicate found this attire funny as they often thought he wore a armoured skirt, but he killed any speculation whenever he confronted them for their blatant disrespect. His armour was a sign of his people and he would take on anyone that would disrespect his people even if it was all in fun. He wore his spartan helmet that covered all but his eyes that only increased his intimidating appearance. The man look like a walking tank as and each of his steps he made was a confident as the last step.

He paused when he noticed movement from his sides, he glanced around positive that he saw movement just a second ago. He learned at an early age that the most dangerous enemy is the ones that you can't see, even cowards are dangerous if not properly watched. When he saw nothing he took a step forward when he noticed the movement again, this time a stone arrow would wiz right into his head bouncing off his helmet. The blow made him stumble slightly as he brought up his shield to block the second arrow. The arrow was followed by a slash that stuck Bastian across his back, luckily not breaking through his armour. The stone terracotta that were still intact had come to life and were attacking the intruder, this led Bastian to believe that the dead bodies were here because of these statues. With a might swing, he broke the first terracotta that was near him shattering it like a clay pot. Simultaneously he caught the clay weapon that the statue carried and tossed it at the direction of where the arrows were fired. Bastian turned to walk away when he heard the sound of clay breaking, as the weapon had struck the archer just as it lifted its head to fire another arrow.

As he got closer to the mausoleum more clay soldier stepped up to block his path. Bastian smiled at the challenge as reached for another clay weapon on the ground. "IMPERIUS REX," he shouted as he charged at the enemy crashing upon them like a cannon to a glass house. Everything seemed to blur in his eyes as he struck down anything that move and picking up weapons whenever the one he carried broke. He shrugged of the clay arrows as they were nothing against his armour, he wished only that the clay soldier made screams when he killed them. The sound of his enemies dying always gave him such a rush.

When the dust cleared, all that remained were the broken bodies of a clay army. He fought his way deep inside the mausoleum until he found himself look at the remains of the dead emperor. The body sat on a throne looking down at the spartan. "What manner of creature are you giant," the Emperor spoke as he looked upon the spartan. Bastian took off his helmet so that his face was visible to the spirit,"I am the spartan warrior, Bastian. And I am here to put you down," he said plainly as he looked upon the emperor. The Emperor stood from the thrown, only to be sent back down from a clay weapon to his head. "The weak do not ever stand up to me...," Bastian said as he put on his helmet and walked towards the foe. "You dare strike a God," the emperor said sinking back into his throne as Bastian approach. "You are no god, fool. You are just a man that dares to try and believe that he is anything more than mortal," Bastian said as he struck the spirit in his head with his fist. He put enough force to knock the spirit out before he decapitated it tossing the body off to the side while keeping the head. He raised the head above his head and let out a shout that shoot the entire mausoleum, his offering to the god of war, Ares. Afterwards he walked away still holding the head, this would be proof enough of his mission success.

Elena was riding on her private jet in order to explore the remnants of her home town in Germany. The US Government was pressing for even more technology and the Department of Sciece and Technology would not be able to keep up with their demands. Though, in the middle of this rush it just looked as if Elena was taking a vacation. Honestly, she did not care what other people though right now, because it would be for their benefit in the end. She did tell her collegues that she would be picking up important parts and information in Japan. In Germany was her father's lab and the secret labratory underneath. She could only hope that it was still intact after almost 100 years. This would be the first time she had been back to Germany in decades. The pilot had to get creative with the ladning though since there were pretty much no landing points anywhere. Once landed in Germany, she had her sensors scanning the entire area. She was outside the heavily guarded walls of D.C. and anything could happen here.

Eventually she found the area in which she used to live. It had been completely destroyed by the way and somewhere deep down in her cold metal heat it pained her to see her home land like this. She entered the heavily armored lab and searched for hours. She went through every mode she had in her systems in order to find something that she might have missed when she was younger. After her technology failed, she decided to pack up and leave. She had tried, but something told her that she would be back soon only to try again. The only fleeting memory of her childhood remined here and even if there was nothing to be found, there was still something to be felt.

Elena reached her plane and inspected it to make sure no one had tried to plant anything. She had the piolet plot the fasted course to Japan because she was already running late. The piolet warned her that it was dangerous to fly over China due to all the neuclear radiation that the entire country gave off. Vexus told him just to fly higher and do what he could to get her to Japan. He tried to convine her other wise, but once the mind of Vexus was set on something, there was no way to convince her other wise. It was a few hours before they began climping in alititude in order to try and evade the radiation of China. Elena's sensors were going off warning her about the radiation and what it would do to the plane. She urged her piolt to climb even higher, but her sensors still picked up the heavy amounts of radiation. Elena cursed under her breath cause it seemed that most of the Radiation had seeped up into the atmosphere making the ground probably more habitable, but still not safe. The plane's systems began to fail. She tried to tell the piot to just give it up and come with her so that they could get out alive. They got into argument about how he was right and she should have listened. Elena could not stand being proved wrong. She locked the man in the cockpit and left the plane leaving the piolt to die in the crash.

Elena landed safely but could see the explosion from the plane from the few miles that she was away from it. It was a good thing that this place was totally deserted, that explosion from the plane could probably be seen for miles. Not to mention the massive plume of black smoke that rose up. The jet fuel would probably not go out for a good while. There were large amounts of radiation on the ground in this area. The energy absorption points that she had on her body were taking in some of the radiation and using it as some power. She scanned for miles looking for somewhere that she could sit and try to make contact with DC to send someone to come get her. She could fly, but she did not travel nearly as fast as one of her jets could. The radiation was nice for extra power, but it seriously interrupted telecommunications. Finally, her sensors picked up a large area that did not contain too much radiation. Not bothering scanning for life, she flew quickly to the area. The extra energy from the radiation proved very useful in her flight. As she got closer, she recongnized the place. It was The Tomb of the First Emperor of China. Very impressive feat, even by her standards.

She reached a pathway and landed there and began walking closer to the tomb. She was trying to find 'service' so that she could contact her authorities. Elena was walking at a rather quick pace, her heels clicking with every step. She looked really out of place. The war torn wastland that was all around her did not conceal her red heels and pink hair. She was wearing a blood red mini-skirk and a white and black long sleeve blazer. While trying to find her service she was also trying to do her make up. Of course she did not leave the crashing plane without her purse. She may be a super android, but she still liked to pretend sometimes, and with no one around what better of a place? Since there was still no way she could contact anyone, she took off again and flew straight to the top of the mound trying to get a signal. Once she reached the top is when she realized something, she was not alone. There was someone alive inside the tomb. Elena knew better than to investigate, so she just minded her own business trying to contact the Government. She could only pray they didn't notice her. She coudl tell that whoever, or whatever, they were they were big and they were strong....

Bastian was about to leave the mausoleum when he felt the the presence of someone. He recalled the terracotta he had encountered outside, though Bastian had assumed by now that the Emperor was the one pulling the strings on those puppets. He looked up but couldn't see who was at the top, the night sky made it difficult see who or what the person was above him. Who ever it was stood at the mouth of the large gaping hole in the ceiling of the mausoleum. He walked so that he no longer stood in the light of the moon so that he wouldn't be seen due in the dark room. He watched the person carefully as he stalked around in the dark analyzing where person trying his best to get a better vantage. Only when he moved to where he saw the persons body in front of the moon did he know that he was dealing with a woman.

Numerous questions filled his head. Did the Syndicate send assistance for him just in case? No they knew he would only be angered and likely take the gesture as a insult. Few humans ever ventured here as they were always to busy keeping the Spirits out. Bastian approached a wall and placed his hand on it, whoever this person was would have noticed him by now due to his bright shield and armour. The plan now was to find out who this person was, with little effort at all he made the room shake violently. The fact this person likely didn't know who Bastian was, she wouldn't know what type of power he wielded. He stopped the shaking only when the part of the ceiling the woman was standing on gave way under her feet. He watched her with calm calculating eyes as he watched for the reaction.

With the rest of the ceiling giving way, and Bastian safely out of harms way, the room would light up from the moonlight. Giving the woman a clear look towards his way, whom by now had put his spartan helmet back on and gripping his shield so that it was on his right side, exposing his the entire front of his body. He had chosen this spot for a reason due to the numerous clay terracotta bodies he had broken near here.

Elena had just gotten service and her face lit up.
"Hello!? This is ELe-" she was cut off as the whole mound on which she was standing on began to shake, the section on which she was standing on gave way and she began falling down to the ground below.
Right before she hit the ground her Anti-Gravity feild kicked in keeping her from hitting the ground hard. She was lucky enough that none of the large slabs had hit her. Her heels gently clickled as they both lightly touched down. She was then holding her ear, like she had an earpiece in and she was listening intently for something.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?! All day! I walk around this blasted country just to find just A LITTLE service and what? NOTHING!! The Whole FREAKIN' mountain just has to cave in on me! I swear some day it's just--"
Her pointless bantering had distracted her. She had just realized that she had fallen into this tomb with whoever she noticed before hand. Elena turned slowed to see a large man with an equally large shield. He had armor on like he was some kind of warrior. She did not know of a human that would be so tall and powerful with such dress. He must have been a Spirit... If he found out who she was, there was no way she would get out unharmed, or even alive.

Elena put on a face of fear as she started to slowly back away.
"I-i Mean you know harm, I was just lost and I need to get back home. I'm sorry if I interupted anything, I don't want any trouble.... Please...?" she said in a scared little girl kind of tone. Maybe he was a gently giant or somethihng. Though, she could not possible hope for that considering the severed head that she noticed her was hanging onto. She nervously pushed her haird behind her ear when in fell infront of her face. She glanced over at the rubble where the celing had collapsed. She was eyeing around for her purse. On her walk through China, she had created a number of weapons, explosives and what not, and left them in her purse incase she ran into trouble. Elena caught a sparkle of her purse lying next to some rocks. She knew it was crazy, but she wanted to go for it. Elena went off in a mad dash to her left running to grab her purse. She wanted to keep her true Andoird powers as secretive as possible, though he had probably seen her stop her fall by just floating in the air. Well, if he found out she was an android, she just need to make sure he did not learn her name.

Bastian watched intently as the woman came tumbling down only to catch herself in midair. He wasn't 100% sure what to think of this as he was still fairly new to this world. The woman appeared to be human, though he had yet to discover if humans had powers as well. Because of this, he automatically assumed the woman was with the Syndicate. His fist clenched as he took in this insult, the Syndicate had thought he was to weak to handle this job. They spat on his honor and pissed on his name. And what was worst is that they sent a timid woman to assist him.

"They assumed I wasn't gonna be enough to take down this rogue spirit huh," Bastian thought to himself," I told the Syndicate I did not need any assistance, and they assumed that I was some mongrel pup needs to be tended to. THIS INSULT WILL NOT STAND!" Bastian was seething with anger the more he thought of this, so much so that his breathing became more fierce. The ground shook again as Bastian battled to control his anger which was in vain. He stopped only when the woman began to speak on how she didn't want trouble. The woman seemed to be unaware of who Bastian was, which made he begin to believe that the woman was not affiliated with the Syndicate. He took a deep breath and slowly began to calm himself, as he watched the woman. It was only when the woman began to move is when Bastian kicked one of the heads of the clay men at the woman, aiming just in front of where she was running to rather than directly at her. He was unsure as to what she was doing, but he was never one to take chances.

"Stay where you are, woman," said finally, his voice so deep and booming that it seemed to echo in the room,"Another step and I will assume you are an enemy." Bastian was trying to think, and this was hard to do when someone was busy running around. "Who are you, are you associated with the Syndicate," he asked as he remained standing where he was as still and lifeless as one of the statutes he had been fighting.

A clay head zoomed past her and she stopped in her tracks. So close!... she thought. This guy meant business, whoever he was. But woman? Elena demanded more respect than that, though this did not seem to be the appropriate time or place. It did not at all seem like he was remotly going to allow her to grab her purse, but then again she did just run after it like it was the end of her life so she couldn't really blame her. He said that if she took one more step, he would assume that she was the enemy. Then he asked if she was Syndicate. And that gave it all away. He was now her enemy. Throughts ranced through her head on different types of expiraments that she could run on this man. He seemed much older and much more powerful than the other Spirits she had disected before. Though now she was sure that no matter what answer she gave, she was probably going to be attacked.

Someone so powerful as him probably did not want the Syndicate interrupting. Spirits did not like humans, and those were really the only two options that she had. Well, she had already acted as a lowly cowering human, so it seemed like Human it was.
"No, no I'm not an enemy! I'm just a human that got lost in her travels, please I'm sorry! And no, I'm not part of the Syndicate! Please, just let me grab my bag, and I'll be on my way. You'll never have to hear or see me again. I swear by it..."
Elena was trying to reason with the man, he seemed intellegent enough to know when he would have someone beat and it wouldn't really be worth his time. And hopefully this was one of them, even though Elena could probably hold her own due to all of her upgrades, but at that point he would stop with the lowly human he thinks she is and take her on as a full blown opponent.

...Coward..., Bastian thought to himself as he looked upon the woman in front of him. He couldn't help but get angry whenever he saw weakness in anyone or anything. He recalled the woman he knew, female spartan warriors unparalleled in battle aside from their male counterparts. Bastian hadn't been around very long in this new time, but this was the first time he had seen a cowardly woman. He decided rather than let the woman go, he would goad her into becoming more aggressive.

"So are all women of this time so pathetic? I am shocked that to see that you can likely do nothing more than lay on your back and produce offsrping," Bastian said chuckling under his breath, his smile slightly visible under his large helmet, "Perhaps you aren't worth my time to even bother to question. If you are just human, your to much a worthless coward to provide any decent information. Go home woman, your dismissed from my presence," he said as he waved her off. He spat on the ground at the last instant, the last show of his disrespect to show his distaste for the woman as he turned away to leave the mausoleum. He kept his weapon's in hand though he had his shield turned so that it was in front of him at enough of a angle where it provided a mirror like effect, this allowed him to see the woman as he walked away waiting for her to make the slightest move.

With Elena's systems scanning the area and all of this man's movements. His attitude toward the weak was not too delightful. And what was this stuff about child birth... She'd never had a kid. They were rather annoying in her opinion. But this guy was not getting off so easily with walking all over her like that. elena continued over to her purse and picked it up, dusting it off. All of her explosives were still sitting in it, and so she got an idea, wouldn't seem like a very good one to the man, but she found it rather entertaining. Elena put the explosives in her purse on a timer, and then took an evil glance at the man who had just terribly insulted her. Vexus then whipped her purse in his direction. She knew that he would see it coming due to her noticing that he was using his sheild to watch what she was doing.
For now she just wanted to down play herself. Let him underestimate her abilities that way she could get the upperhand when the time came. Once the bag was in range it went off in a large explosion, probably not enough to even scratch him, but whatever.

"Hahahaa! Who's weak now? Don't think you can mess with one of the most important people on this entire planet and think to get away with it unharmed!"
Elena said with a fake tone of confidence. She knew that explosions would do nothing, so she was ready for him when he decided to retaliate.
